You can protect yourself from contamination and pollution.
We can install a back-flow prevention device that will protect your potable water supplies. Your water supply is particularly in danger when pressure in your pipes fail, whether from a water main burst, frozen pipes or unexpected changes in water demand. These issues allow water from a variety of sources to seep into your clean water supply.
To avoid these issues, backflow prevention assemblies are often required by law, and must be installed in accordance with plumbing or building codes. A typical backflow assembly has test cocks and shut-off valves, and must be tested when installed, if relocated or repaired, and also on a periodic basis.
Fortunately, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) holds local water suppliers responsible for maintaining a certain amount of purity in potable water systems. While this does help, many states and local municipalities require annual testing of backflow prevention assemblies. In most cases, the law requires a double check (DC), Reduced Pressure Principle Device (RP), or an air gap where backflow prevention is required.
CAC Plumbing, LLC is certified to assist you with any and all of your Backflow Prevention needs.
